What is the Secondary Level?
After attending primary school for each child, based on his grades, performance and behavior in elementary school, issued a recommendation for the secondary schools. These correspond to different power levels and differ, for example in the teaching methods and the way of support for students. In addition, partially different degrees are acquired at secondary schools. At secondary schools the following level qualifications:
- The CSE (Class 9)
- The secondary school (Grade 10)
- The High school (Grade 10 – entitled if they have performed for upper secondary school at a high school)
- The curriculum in secondary schools
Education is the responsibility of individual states. Therefore, there is no uniform curriculum for the entire country. However, in almost all provinces following subjects to the standard of secondary schools include:

- Natural Sciences: Biology , Chemistry, Physics
- Social Sciences : History, Geography , Social Studies / Politics
- Religion / Ethics
The focus can be partially defined differently by individual secondary schools : So is at a school with musical and artistic focus, for example, more lessons in art or music rather than at other schools. At other schools, the emphasis shifts to the natural sciences. Above all, schools are trying to distinguish themselves by the choice of such gravity.
In addition, the students have in secondary schools for the first time the opportunity to influence their schedule itself: in the 7th Class they must usually for a second Foreign Language decide. The options here are usually French, Latin, Spanish and English (mandatory, if this was not the first foreign language). Further features of the so-called differentiation area on the 9th Class, the second way to determine the formation itself. Here, for example profile subjects such as computer science can be chosen, or depressions and priorities for further education careers are made in combinations of subjects like sports biology or history.
